The directors bring an array of experience to guide the Foundation’s mission and impact.

Qaadirah Abdur-Rahim is the Head of Community Strategy for BlackRock’s Atlanta Innovation Hub, and former Chief Equity Officer for the City of Atlanta.

Hank Gurley is a principal at Clayton, Dubilier & Rice LLC. He lives in New York.

Will Gurley is a real estate broker, running his own brokerage firm, Northside Brokers.

Alice Hall works on the New Restaurants Real Estate team at Chick-fil-A, Inc. She was previously a Middle School Learning Specialist at Pace Academy.

Jack Hall is a Partner in K-12 Search with CarterBaldwin Executive Search.

Joseph Hall serves as the Family and Missions Pastor of Vertical Church in Richmond, Virginia.

Lin Stradley (Board Chair) is an attorney who specialized in commercial real estate and development until his retirement last year. He now guides an in-depth theological study group and volunteers twice a week for Atlanta Legal Aid, handling poverty law cases.

Lindsay Stradley is a co-founder of Sanergy in Nairobi, Kenya, and the CEO of the nonprofit side of the business.

Stephen Stradley is a senior product manager with HopSkipDrive, in Los Angeles. He lives in Oakland, California.

Belisa M. Urbina is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Ser Familia, Inc. which is the leading program in Georgia providing coordinated multi- disciplinary family, social and mental health services to Latinos.

Our Renewed Strategic Direction

The Betty and Davis Fitzgerald Foundation is now poised to support organizations committed to enhancing quality education and mental health access for families experiencing low income, particularly those strengthening talent pipelines, championing systemic solutions, and promoting collaboration.

Specifically, the Foundation’s new priorities are to:

Support high-quality, culturally relevant talent development, training, and placement for educators and mental health workforce to better serve families with low income in areas with shortages.

Champion advocacy and policy agendas that strengthen and support the current workforce and broaden access for families with low income.

Promote strategic partnerships and coordinated approaches to enhance access for families with low income.

The Foundation’s commitment to equity and limited capacity compel it to prioritize opportunities that focus on supporting families with low-income in historically marginalized or underserved communities. To increase our effectiveness and understanding of local systems, the Foundation’s funding efforts will be concentrated on organizations serving the 21-county Metro Atlanta area.
