Inspired by Betty Fitzgerald’s personal experiences and a deep commitment to equity, the Foundation was founded to honor her legacy of compassion and resilience. Guided by the insights of community and nonprofit leaders, we are a small but dedicated team working to support families and strengthen communities across metro Atlanta.

The Foundation’s mission is to support organizations committed to enhancing quality education and mental health access for families with low incomes – particularly those strengthening talent pipelines, championing systemic solutions, and promoting collaboration.
